Teaser Tuesday!

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser:

But the truth was she didn’t feel like writing or pushing Kendall.  Come to think of it, she’d rather rip out a toilet with her bare hands and read Home Improvement 1-2-3 from cover to cover than do either of those things.  Which didn’t bode well for either of them.

    Hello Crystal,

Some great teaser lines. Not an author I have come across before, but the link to the full synopsis was really useful.

I would say “another book to add to my wish list”, but I say that about almost every book someone recommends.

I just love books, any kind of book, so they all sound great to me.

    Enjoy!

This is my first exposure to her as well, but I’m really liking the book! I would definitely say read it if you get the chance :)

An interesting teaser–I just saw this book mentioned on GoodReads and meant to look it up. Thanks for visiting!

Here is my teaser from The Wolves of Andover by Kathleen Kent (Page 8):

Martha saw it all clear in that moment: this was the instant her place in the family would be decided. If she lost her footing at the outset, she would forever be dealt with as no more than a servant.

I have a hard time following the rules too…I just look at them as guidelines :) Congrats on your NaNo success! What a great accomplishment!
