Top Ten Songs – Number Three
In all fairness, I’ve actually featured this song on here before in Song of the Week…but it’s just so good that you can stand to see it twice, right?
I’m talking, of course, about Modern Love by David Bowie. See, we’re here in the top three and it’s pretty hard for me to order them. They’re all so fantastic to me, definitely some of the best songs ever written, in my opinion anyway.
This time, even though I do not love this video, I picked the official video that Bowie put out for this one.
I sort of forgot that videos used to be more about the bands and less about telling a story. Wow – music has changed!
Anyway, the video aside, this song will always brighten my day. I love it to bits, and I even had a situation recently where I was just having a shit day and this song totally made it better. If for no better reason, I will love David Bowie to the day I die for writing this song.

Music videos were coming round when I was growing up, so I don’t really remember a time before them. But I did definitely forget a bit that they haven’t always been the way they are now!
