It’s Monday! What are you reading? March 5, 2012

This is a weekly meme run by Book Journey!

Post the books completed last week, the books you are currently reading, and the books you hope to finish this week.

Mailbox Monday is a weekly meme that was created by Marcia at The Printed Page, who graciously hosted it for a long, long time, before turning it into a touring meme (details here).  It is hosted at Diary of an Eccentric for the month of March.

*****

Somehow I managed to forget that this week started Denver Restaurant Week, so I had an extra couple of social events going on related to that.  Time just slipped away from me over the last month or so!

Books completed last week:
A Fatal Grace – Louise Penny: We’ve got a mystery week coming up on Royals soon, and I loved this one!  One of my favorite authors!

Books I’m reading this week:
Enchantments – Kathryn Harrison ~ Page 6: This one is about Russia and Rasputin – sounds awesome already!

Books ongoing:
Jane Eyre – Charlotte Bronte ~ Page 252: I read several chapters in Jane Eyre this week.  I just got finished with the part where she went to see Mrs. Reed back at Gateshead.

Books I acquired this week:
Pandemonium – Lauren Oliver: I’ve been waiting for this book for a year, no joke.  As have many fans.  I’m soooo looking forward to this one, I’m going to make room for it soon.

What I watched this week:

  • Fashion Police, The Soup, Chelsea Lately,  The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, 1 girl 5 gays, The Ellen Degeneres Show
  • Castle
  • Six Feet Under
  • The Challenge: Battle of the Exes
  • Ringer
  • Revenge
  • Khloe & Lamar
  • Are You There, Chelsea? – I finally connected some with this show!

    Jane Eyre’s a great book.

My daughter convinced me that she needed her own library card. Please come see what I’m reading.

Jane Eyre is definitely a fabulous book, one of my all time favorites!

I remember getting my first library card as a child, so it makes complete sense for your daughter to have one!

I’ve been hooked from the first book I read too, she’s so fantastic :) Armand Gamache is one of my favorite characters!

I must try a Louise Penny book! They look fascinating…

    Don’t you just LOVE Ringer?

Yes, it’s taken me awhile to get into Are You There, Chelsea?, too. The characters are so odd…but I am slowly connecting.

    Enjoy your week.

I highly recommend picking up Louise Penny, I’m sure you’ll be addicted to her books like I am :)

I’m a huge fan of Ringer, it just keeps getting crazier! Can’t wait for the new one this week.

I think my problem with “Are You There, Chelsea?” is primarily focused on Laura Prepon…I love Chelsea Handler and I don’t feel like Laura is necessarily playing her very well. I’m adjusting, slowly, but I do just wish Chelsea had the time to play herself.

Need to watch Khloe and Lamar from last night but we got caught up on Castle over the weekend. The one with the little girl from China gave me pause as it really told how to screw up the world. Way too real.

    Happy Reading!

I haven’t watched the Khloe and Lamar from this Sunday either, I ran out of time Sunday night…but I usually watch them a day or two later :)

I agree about the Castle with the girl from China. It was so realistic and very creepy in that sense. I’m glad our ruggedly handsome hero was able to save us!
