Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

My teaser:

I glanced down the dinner table and across the room.  By now I knew most of the faces, some intimately.  And a motley crew they were, I reflected.  Frank would have been fascinated by the gathering – so many different facial types.
