Weekly Workout – January 6 to January 12

Readers WorkoutsJanuary Fitness Minutes: 151
January Nike Fuel: 29461

We had some unexpected snow this week and some frigid temperatures!

Sunday – Nike Fuel 1528: I did a tiny bit of strength training, but I mostly took Sunday off to do other things.

Monday – Nike Fuel 2661: Strength training and some exercise video time.

Tuesday – Nike Fuel 2385: This was a lazy day fitness wise.  I got my activity by scrubbing the bathroom.

Wednesday – Nike Fuel 3180: 60 mins/2.9 miles on the treadmill.  The weather was nice and I really wanted to go out for a dog walk but it’s still not staying light late enough in the evening after I get off work.  I’m hoping over the next few weeks it gets to the point that I can at least get short walks in!

Thursday – Nike Fuel 2045: Tiny bit of strength training.

Friday – Nike Fuel 2595: Strength training and house work.

Saturday – Nike Fuel 1982: Not a whole lot of stuff today, just strength training.

We got some unexpected warm weather so I was able to get outside more. Great job this week.

That makes me really jealous! It’s not usually this cold in Denver, I don’t like it one bit! I’ve been trying to do more videos and things I can do from within the house.

Is Nike Fuel # the number of calories you’re burning? I’ve thought about getting a Nike band, but I think I’d prefer a running watch if I get that serious.

Sounds like you’re doing good so far!

It isn’t calories burned, I’m not sure what entails the makeup of the number, although the Fuel Band does also calculate the calories you’ve burned throughout the day. Again, not sure how it figures that out. I got it because it tracks all your activity, so I consider it a good way to determine how active I was throughout the day. It’s also a step counter, but it goes around your wrist instead of clipping to your belt, and I like it better for that purpose. On the whole, I’m a fan of it…I bought mine in April and have used it consistently since then.

We had one really warm day followed by some startling cold ones — especially in comparison. It’s been hard to get out for walks on those cold ones.

Yes, it’s really hard to get out when it’s that cold. I run cold anyway, so I never seem to warm up if I go out when it’s that chilly!

Don’t know anything about the Nike Fuel. I’ll have to google it!

I use the Nike+ Fuel Band to calculate and track my Nike Fuel. It’s really just a good way to see how active I am according to the goal I have set, and a useful tool when it comes to motivation. It also has a step counter built in, so I like that aspect as well.

The Nike Band sounds interesting. I will have to think about that post-baby. Goodness knows I’m going to have some work to do at that point!
