I totally paused!

Wow, who would think that this death, of all the deaths that have occurred on the show, would be the one that really gets me.  I cried, I will not lie, when Godric sacrificed himself.  I have made no secret of my affections for him, and I’m sure he was written that way on purpose to make us feel this way when his arc ended.

How I wish he had stayed on the show in some capacity.  Strangely enough, there are few characters that could have left the show that I would have missed as much as I already feel I am going to miss Godric.  And I love the way his character showed us a softer side of Eric, who I am really liking a lot now.

I would also be lying if I said I didn’t like this new dynamic between Sookie and Eric.  I think Bill is a little boring, and always have, Eric is much more exciting to me and I’m curious to see how his relationship with Sookie grows as things go on.

This season is also, surprisingly, making me like Sam more than I did before.  I remember saying last season that I felt he was very clingy and just irritating, but now that Maryann is chasing him, it’s much more interesting.  I would still like to learn more about his past, and just more about shape shifters in general.  Hopefully as time goes on we will learn this stuff!

I think Maryann is possibly the most confusing of all, because what on earth is she even doing?  I don’t understand her interest in Tara, sex, violence, chaos, and killing Sam.  I am going to love seeing how this arc ends up and what her ultimate fate is.  The previews look pretty exciting!
