I totally paused!

Since the show has been off for the summer, and I haven’t seen a whole lot of Nathan Fillion, I kind of forgot how much I loved this character.  He makes me laugh basically from the start with things like looking in the glass and saying “I really am ruggedly handsome, aren’t I.”  Makes me wish I was a man so I could say it, cuz that is super funny!  I might have to find the woman equivalent.

I sadly also had totally forgotten about Castle looking into the murder of Beckett’s mother.  How I managed to forget this, I have no idea.  Anyway, I remembered quickly enough with the whole reconciliation theme of the episode, and I look forward to the continuation of this storyline.  I honestly really just look forward to the progress of their relationship, which is undoubtedly the draw of the show for most people.

As for the episode in itself, one of the other things I like about the show is that I at least think it’s clever.  The body snatching bit in this episode was totally unexpected!  And then the reason for the snatching – also a surprise to me.  Although I will say one thing…isn’t it illegal for Castle to tell his writer friends the details of a case?  Seems a little weird to me.

I really like Beckett as well, I’m a big fan of strong female characters and while she’s no Buffy, she is a pretty good character in my view.  Also, I should totally carry around a sexy secondary outfit, just in case I need it.

Just like last season, it did not disappoint, and I’m really glad the show is back.  I’m looking forward to Monday evenings filled with Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle!
