Wishin’ & Hopin’ – Ani DiFranco

I’m relatively certain that Ani DiFranco did not actually write this song, but is instead just performing it for this soundtrack. But, I’m unwilling to look that up, so there you have it.
To be honest, I’m not sure if I would necessarily like a different version of this song. But I like the way Ani sings it, and I like her a bit. Combine that with the fact that it’s from My Best Friend’s Wedding, which I already admitted to liking, and we’ve got a winner!
Each time I hear this song, the beginning of that movie plays in my head. As a bit of an fyi, this movie came out while I was working at a movie theater, so I spent many a break in that particular movie. I bet you’re dying to know my favorite part, huh? You won’t find out for awhile!
