I will say that this episode was not as bad for me as the first one.  It wasn’t my favorite show ever, but it was funnier and had some good quotes too.

The premise was still basically the same – Jonathan still wants to try to get back together with his ex, and while he works a detective case, he is obsessed with her.  It’s even funnier when his case intersects with her, making their strained relationship even worse.

I am infinitely frustrated with Jonathan’s seeming inability to have a self outside of his relationship with Suzanne.  Their interaction at the coffee shop, him saying he can’t even shop without her, it’s very irritating to me.  And then his discussion with the friend about if he had just changed for Suzanne she wouldn’t have left?  It doesn’t work that way!  But I did love the whole box of love notes thing, and his added anxiety that she left the notes instead of taking them when she got up.

The detective case, for those who wondered, is for a lady who wants to know if her boyfriend is cheating on her.  I suppose it’s part of the point of the show, but Jonathan is a terrible private detective…even I could do better, and I don’t read detective novels!

I don’t really have other comments about this episode, but I will share my other two favorite quotes:

I’m a non-practicing vegan

I don’t do well with anger, I go straight to depression

So, this week this show stays.  We’ll see what next week brings.
