I will go so far as to say this is probably now my third favorite show on TV, behind Dexter and Dollhouse.  I love this show, it’s hilarious, and I think anyone who doesn’t like it is just silly.

We start off with my new favorite Jeff line

I’m like a sprinter, I’m at my best during high speed bursts of wit

If I changed taglines on this site, that would be my new one!  But I don’t, I just change them on my Skype, so I put it there instead.

This fabulous line is brought to you by a conversation with Britta, in which they are discussing how Jeff is not actually good at long term gibber jabber, thus he is a sprinter.

I will just take a moment to lament that all the jobs that require lots of pop culture references are already taken.

There’s also some supposedly anonymous evaluation for the teacher of the Spanish class, to which Abhed signs his name.  If I didn’t love Jeff so much, I think I’d have Abhed as my favorite.

Britta has a half a boyfriend in this episode, a guy that Jeff and Shirley make fun of, and thus they bond.  Jeff notes that the guy is playing hackey sack a decade too late – I think it might actually be fifteen years too late, but who’s counting?

Annie manages to get a slot in Professor Duncan’s advanced experiment lab.  Professor Duncan is played by the great John Oliver, which you may know from the Daily Show.  He says to her “You’re an 8, which is a British 10!”  Ah, how I loved that line!  It was right after him saying he’s not allowed to date students, fyi.

I also anxiously awaited the Seacrest reference in this episode, and it didn’t come until the very end.  Did y’all know that at the very end of this show, after the credit, they do a funny thing with Troy and Abhed each week?  If you didn’t, you should watch all the way to the end and pay attention going forward.

  1. Oh, what was the Seacrest reference in this one? I must have missed it.

I think my Jeff might have taken that hackey sack thing on the show a little personally :)

Troy & Abhed were in a room, making fun of people through a glass wall. Jeff comes along & they say something like “it’s Dr. Doogie Seacrest” and something about how he’s 40. Then he says “I’m not 40…I can hear you through the window”. Super funny!

  4. That’s right! I didn’t remember about the Dr Doogie Seacrest comment, I just remember “I’m not 40. And I can hear you through the window.” I fell over laughing. How did I miss the Doogie Seacrest reference???
