Six Degrees of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I take the classic Kevin Bacon game and turn it into one about my favorite TV show.  I link pretty much everything I watch, TV or movies, to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in six degrees or less.  And sometimes I get bored with the more typical paths that emerge, so I try to mix it up.  I also admittedly miss some easier avenues, because I try to do it without IMDB so sometimes there are easier routes that I don’t take for lack of knowledge.

Indie Film Syndrome
Where either the writer or director, who are sometimes the same person, puts the characters in some weird situation that makes no sense and has nothing to do with anything.  But it’s cool!  They’re quirky!  My classic example is the bowling alley scene in All the Real Girls where Paul and Noel are just standing in the middle of the alley, him standing behind her with his arms wrapped around her.  Why does this happen!?

You say you haven’t seen All the Real Girls?  Don’t worry, you aren’t missing anything.  But I’m sure you can come up with your own example if you’ve seen a few Indie movies.

My Ratings
You may have noticed that I don’t typically rate books or TV, just movies.  I don’t really have an explanation for this, other than I never have the urge to rate anything but movies.  Which is weird, because I use all these book sites that want a rating, so I rate the books there, but not here.  Sometimes my mind works in weird ways.
